Publish Your QR Menu on Your Own Domain: Pool Domains and Custom Domains

The address behind your printed QR code will stay the same for years. If you want that address to belong to your brand, you can publish your QR menu on your own domain. The domain system that already existed for biolinks now works for QR menus too.

Three ways to publish

  • Main site: linkspot.bio/m/your-cafe. No setup required, live immediately.
  • Pool domain: one of the short domains offered by the administrator, for example menu.link/m/your-cafe. Again no setup, just pick one.
  • Your own domain: menu.yourcafe.com. Add a CNAME/A record in your DNS, the system verifies it, and the menu opens there.

Where do I choose?

The first step of the New menu wizard shows "Publishing address" cards. As you make your choice, the live address preview underneath updates and can be copied with one click. For an existing menu, you'll find the same cards under Menu settings → SEO and publishing.

Steps for a custom domain

  1. In your domain provider's panel, point the CNAME record for the menu subdomain to the target LinkSpot gives you.
  2. Enter the domain in the dashboard and click Verify. DNS propagation can take 5-30 minutes; the system retries automatically in the background every 15 minutes.
  3. Once verified, the menu opens at both the old and the new address. There's no need to regenerate your QR code with the new address; the old one redirects.

Plans

Pool domains are included in every paid plan; the number of custom domains depends on your plan. If you exceed the limit, the wizard shows the card as locked and opens the upgrade window.

SSL and speed

Certificates for custom domains are issued automatically on the server side. The menu page is pre-rendered on the server (SSR) and critical CSS is inlined, so your PageSpeed score on your own domain stays on par with the main site.
