Take orders from your menu: table, pickup, delivery

Your QR menu doesn't have to be only a price list: guests can order straight from it. The feature is off by default — a business that wants orders turns it on deliberately.

1. Turn ordering on

In the menu editor open Settings → Order settings and flip Enable ordering. While it's off, guests never see an "Add to cart" button.

2. Choose order types

The three types switch on and off separately:

  • Table service — the guest types a table number. Most cafés use only this.
  • Pickup — the guest leaves a name and phone number and collects the order.
  • Delivery — name, phone and address are required.

At least one type must stay on; you can't leave ordering enabled with all three off.

3. Minimum total and note

Set a minimum order total and carts below it can't be submitted. Whatever you write in Order note (for example "Orders taken until 11 pm") appears on the order form.

4. Manage orders

The Orders tab in the editor is a kitchen screen: status tabs and large touch targets, comfortable on a tablet. Every order follows one path:

New → Preparing → Ready → Delivered

An order can be cancelled at any step. The order card shows the table number or the customer's name and phone (as a tappable link), the line items and the total.

5. Know when an order arrives

While the editor is open — on any tab — a new order bumps the badge on the Orders tab and raises a notification with a short alert sound. If the browser tab is in the background, the count also appears in the page title. The menu list shows each menu's open-order count too; tap the badge and the menu opens straight on the Orders tab.

Price safety

Order totals are always calculated from the prices on the server. A price sent by the browser is ignored, and an item option that isn't defined is rejected. A guest cannot change prices from the page.
